First, make sure you wash you wash your face twice a day (AM and PM) and exfoliate your skin often (2-3 times a week).
Since you have a problem with blackheads, I assume your skin is on the oily side so cleanse with a gel or foaming cleanser, tone and then use a light (oil-free, water based) moisturizer. To exfoliate, opt for a mask that has beads, seeds, or pumice in it to slough off dead surface skin cells and unclog your pores. You might also want to consider using a deep pore cleansing mask to ensure that that you are detoxifying your skin of debris that gets stuck in the hair follicles.
You have to be committed to your skin care regime for you to see lasting results and you should see some improvement when doing the above. Another thing to keep in mind is that over-cleansing your skin or over exfoliating your skin will cause your oil glands to become more active and secrete more oil, making the situation worse. So, if you are already doing what I suggested and you are still having problems with blackheads, cut back on what you're doing or opt for a gentler skin care line; the one you are using may be too harsh for your skin. Whatever you do do not use a creamy moisturizer as that will just clog your pores and exacerbate the problem.
Hope this helps...
Buy a blackhead clearing scrub. Clean and Clear has one which is really good. You need to scrub your face with it at least twice a day and blackheads disappear within two weeks - but you need to continue the treatment for a while after that to control the oil levels in your skin.
Have a look at this site. It has information on a variety of such products.

P.S. Be careful with makeup because it does often clog up your pores!!
supposedly sugar can be used as an exfoliant. that's cheap.
I think you need to get them extracted which costs a lot. maybe try to get them out yourself. and keep using the sugar to exfoliate.
haven't tried it yet but once you get rid of them they say egg whites ';shrink'; the pores.
washing your face with an exfoliating scrub that has 2% salicylic acid, followed by swiping with a medicated pad (like stridex) every day. if the acid is too much, try every other day.
i would get something just for black heads and wash your face at lest twice a day
I wish I knew as well!! I have black heads around my nose and can't get rid of them!! aaarrrgggghhh!
