It takes waaaay more than a cleanser to get acne under control. It takes using right products in the right way; and also, keeping up with the skin's ability to adapt to products that is the key.

For a start, you can get some Neutrogena On the Spot benzoyl peroxide and start of veeery slowly with it. Just wear it for 15 minutes a day. Then double the wearing time every three days. Then, when you are up to wearing it for 3 hours for 3 days in a row, then start wearing it overnight. You need to wear benzoyl everyday in order for it to work and not just ';on the spot'; but all over. It prevents the acne from forming in the first place. Then once your skin acclimates to this, then get a stronger benzoyl peroxide formuation – but make sure it doesn’t have pore-clogging ingredients in it.

For your back and shoulders get a benzoyl peroxide 10% and just wear it overnight (after cleansing) all over your affected areas. Make sure and wear a white t-shirt cuz benzoyl will bleach clothing.

That will help your acne alot, but it usually takes more than that to get clear. It usually takes a combination of a strong exfoliating serum and benzoyl peroxide to get clear. The other thing is to stay ahead of your skin's ability to adapt to products. If you use the same products in the same way your skin won't get clear either. You need to strengthen your homecare every couple of weeks - like using a stronger benzoyl peroxide or using the benzoyl twice a day. I have the same problem as you too. I've tried Cetaphil for five months %26amp; it hasn't done anything on my skin. I'm using Spectro Jel at the moment. I'm not seeing any good results t'il now. Anyways you should try mixing baking soda with the cleanser you're using. Don't do this everyday, do it only 2-3 times a week or try putting lemon juice diluted on your face. Reduce your stress levels, maybe that's the main cause of our acne. Drink water instead of soda. Make sure the food you eat dosen't contain a lot of oil because this can cause more oil in the oil glands of your face. I don't really know about this one but i'll just say it, you can try homeopathic acne tablets. It cures acne naturally but it takes around 2 months until your acne goes away. If you're a very patient person this might work for you.

I hope this helps (:
You should see a dermatologist, they will prescribe you a prescription medication (either a pill or a topical treatment)

Also: there are no clinically proven foods that make your food worse.. don't worry about that.

Benzoyl Peroxide (no matter the strength) doesn't work for everyone. I've used 10% of it, and it didn't do anything.
You can try using clay masks as they help remove dirt from deep inside and clear your skin of impurities. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
