Help is appreciated, thanks. How to get rid of blackheads?
The little black things on your nose or chin etc is trapped dirt, try a good exfoliating scrub to use three times a week. Concentrate on scrubbing those blackhead prone spots. You can also try those ';biore'; blackhead strips but dont over use either of them because they can damage or irritate the skin. Cleanse the skin day and night and never sleep with your make up on! Also i heard using a steamer on your face (one you buy from the store) or after you get out of the shower your pores are wide open. If you squeeze the blackheads the dirt will come out.How to get rid of blackheads?
squeeze it!
I'm studying to be a dermatologist. First, I'll tell you what some of the main causes of acne are: Hormones, Stress, Heavy or Oily Make-Up, Diets, Genes, Sweat, Dirt, Oil, Picking, Plucking, and Squeezing, Oil from when Your Hair gets on Your Face, Clogged Pores, Irritation, and Certain Face Washes. Try to avoid those causes and acne won't come back as bad. What you always need in your acne wash is Salicylic Acid. Not very many acne washes have this (surprisingly) except for Clearasil and and Neutrogena. I use Clearasil Ultra Daily Face Wash and it has definitely worked for me and I noticed a difference in just one week. When you start using a new acne wash, it's a good idea to only use it once a day and gradually increase to two or three times a day. You should wash your face before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning and of course whenever you get sweaty (after sports, work, etc.). After you wash your face, wait 5-15 min. before you put anything on your face. The water could still be on your face or in your pores even if it's not visible, so you have to wait for it to dry. Once you've waited, put Benzoyl Peroxide on your face (can be found in Clearasil Creams). The Benzoyl Peroxide will reduce zit size and redness and prevent acne from coming back in as little as 4 hours. Be careful when you use Benzoyl Peroxide because if it gets in your hair, it could bleach the part it touched. The only good part about it, is that it will bleach facial hairs and make them not as visible. You also should not put on Benzoyl Peroxide if you are going out in the sun. If the sun has contact with the Benzoyl peroxide it could bleach your skin and leave a mark. Do not put on Benzoyl Peroxide if you have a sunburn on your face because it will dry out the sunburn and cause pealing. It's best if you use the same brand of products. I do not recommend using toners, astringents, or pads. Exfoliaters are not good for your face unless you have really dry skin. If you don't have a lot of dry skin, don't use exfoliaters because it can irritate your acne and cause more acne to appear. Do not pick or pop acne because it will only irritate it and create more acne. Also be sure to stay on a healthy diet and drink plenty of water. Good Luck!!
Instead of trying to treat the blackheads, try to prevent them from popping up in the first place. Make sure you clean your face at least twice daily, keeping your pores clean is a great way to reduce acne. If you wear makeup try switching brands or not wearing makeup for a few days, makeup can make your face more oily which makes acne easier to pop up
Squeezing will get rid of them for a little while but it will seriously damage your skin if you continue to do it. Buy a good face scrub like Neutrogena and use it every day, this should prevent future blackheads. I don't know if you have this product, but the brand name is Biore (bee-oar-ay) and it's pore strips. You wet your face and place the strip on it. It's kind of like paper-mache so after 10 minutes it hardens, and when you pull it off the blackheads come out with it. I've used

it several times and it works with all except for the biggest blackheads.

Hope I helped!

Edit-- Dang it kolby, you beat me to it. ;)
I am an american however I'm sure you have what is need in the UK.

Here are some key ingredients:

1. a handful sand or sugar (not powdered)

2. 1 tsp of rubbing alcohol

3. an anti-bacterial soap

Scrub your face with this - twice a day.
OK I can totally empathize with you ... I struggled with darn blackheads and still do occasionally ... I have had two successful methods of clearance

1- Wash your face with hot water and give it a really good scrub , the heat opens the pores and scrubbing gets rid of the dirt ... then rinse with cold water!

2-Use Clearsil pads ... I find that they work far better then the creams ... but be prepared for a harsh burning sensation for about a minute after application ... I'm in Northern Ireland and I can get them here so i presume you could get them in England!

Good luck! (:
Clay masks used regularly helps pull out trapped oil and dead skin.Check out http://useinfo-blackhead.blogspot.com/ for more useful tips to control blackheads.
The wave by neutrogena it's not just for girls you can get it anywhere! Like walmart, walgreens, ect
um...

i would not touch your face, wash it at night, put lotion on it. then leave your face alone

and then in the mourning, just wash your face with warm water, and put lotion
dont touch your face at all. even if you wash your face, cause your fingers contain oil. its crazy. nooothing nutergena or however you spell it works! believe me. tried every product out there. try skin ID.

(:
There is this really great product that Clean %26amp; Clear has called Blackhead Eraser. It works really well. It comes with the ready to use pads that you put on the vibrating eraser and clears up those stressful blackheads. Well hoped that helped.
