Can you get rid of blackheads that has been their for around 14 years?

Blackheads, or open comedones, can be removed, no matter how long they've been there. They are formed when pores are built up with dirt, oil, and dead skin. Your skin shed's dead cells every 28 days, so if you're not exfoliating away that dead skin, it builds on top of the pore. Get a professional ';Deep Pore'; facial and have your aesthetician really work on extracting them out. And the sooner you get this done, the better. Once pores are stretched from build-up, they stay that way. There's no way to shrink pores, only ways to minimize the appearance. And at home extractions aren't a good idea. You might inflame, or even worse, scar your skin. Hope this helps! Can you get rid of blackheads that has been their for around 14 years?

see an aesethetican or dermatologist. It is worth the advice of someone who specializes in skin care. Other than that your local pharmacies has products targeted for specific problems like blackheads. salicylic acid comes to mind. or a home dermabrasion kit. but it might take more than one treatment. Be cautious dont over do it.

I would definitely see a dermatologist. They will also be able to access what type of skin you have and the best product for you. I know my cousin has one of those suction things that are for blackheads - she says it works really well. I haven't tried it, yet. The only thing she didn't like was it made her breakout at first. It pulled all the junk and dirt out of her pores and to the surface but once it cleared up she doesn't have to worry cause she knows everything is clear. She bought hers thru Avon. Your doctor can do the same thing at the office and alot more effectively. Good luck!
